We visited Friday 14th Sept. 2018. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We expected to spend and hour or two but actually spent over three. That it's a small museum and informal made it all the more interesting. We could relate to it. And the 3 year matured cheese is amazing!!!

Visited today with my wife. I haven't been to the museum since around 2005. OMG there has been so much work done since then. We loved the displays and the passion of Steve Perry who runs it. As a radio amateur there are plenty of radios and equipment to see. There is a diverse range of items to whet the appetite of anyone interested in WW2 ranging from aircraft and land-craft to weapons an crash relics. There is even a walk through display dedicated to WW1. I especially like the walk-in air raid shelter with air raid sounds and a taped warden's voice transporting you back to a time where the bombs were falling around you outside. I would recommend this place to anyone. Well done to the people who have put so much hard work into making one of the best museums I have visited - Nigel M1EQA

The Armed Forces Weekend will be held on 24th to 25th June. Come and see some additional WWII vehicles and displays. On the Sunday, there is also a vintage motorcycle club visit.

 Brilliant day out - we arrived with an hour to spare last Summer and the staff couldn't be more welcoming. We saw all of the exhibits and would thoroughly recommend this museum to anyone

What an amazing day out! Took my Mom who loved all of the nostalgia and memories it bought back. The 'Roxy' cinema film on how it all came about was astounding to say the least! Loved the film posters too! So much thought has gone into every display, even the models have been dressed and posed to perfection. An amazing amount of items have been secured and every conflict thoroughly researched and lovingly displayed. I particularly loved the Animals at war section which brings a tear to the eye! The sound effects are really well thought out too, Mom nearly dived under a table when the air raid siren blasted out, she was pleased to hear the all clear! There is so much to see and digest, we spent a good four hours wandering around on a glorious summers day. My hat is doffed to the owners and volunteers who continually strive to update and add to the many displays in and around the museum. Well done to you all and thank you for such a wonderful experience.
